Accessibility Statement

We want everyone to be able to use this website, whatever their access needs.

Our Commitment to Accessibility

Schreiber Oakwood Properties (SCHREIBER & OAKWOOD LTD) is committed to making this website accessible to as many people as possible, including people who use screen readers, keyboard-only navigation, screen magnification, speech recognition software or browser text and colour settings.

We recognise our obligations under the Equality Act 2010 and treat accessibility as an ongoing responsibility rather than a one-off task.

The Standard We Are Targeting

We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA. In practice, this means we work to:

  • Maintain sufficient colour contrast on every section background, including the dark navy bands
  • Provide clear, descriptive link and button text
  • Make all navigation, including the mobile menu, fully operable by keyboard
  • Give every form field a visible label and clear error messages
  • Provide descriptive alternative text for images
  • Use semantic headings and landmarks so pages can be navigated with assistive technology
  • Support resizing text and reflow on small screens without loss of content

Known Limitations

We are not aware of any significant accessibility barriers on this website. The following points are known limitations we keep under review:

  • Some content has not yet been independently audited against every WCAG 2.2 Level AA success criterion
  • Photography has not yet been added to the site; when images are introduced, descriptive alternative text will be provided at the same time
  • Content or documents supplied by third parties may not always meet the same standard

How to Report an Accessibility Problem

If you find any part of this website difficult to use, or you need information in a different format, please tell us. Include the page address and a short description of the problem, and we will respond as soon as we can and explain what we intend to do.

Email: info@soproperties.co.uk

If you are not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Equality Advisory and Support Service (EASS), which supports people with equality and human rights concerns in England, Scotland and Wales.

Preparation of This Statement

This statement applies to the Schreiber Oakwood Properties website and was prepared using internal review and testing of the site's structure, keyboard operation, colour contrast and form behaviour.
